Nova Production Co is a full-service production company with more than thirteen years of experience in commercial hospitality. We work with brands, agencies, and property teams to take projects from an idea on paper to finished work, balancing the creative vision with everything it takes to actually make it happen. Our work has taken us to more than 400 hotels across the United States, Canada, China, and the Caribbean.

In 2017, Nova collaborated with InterContinental Hotels China to update photography to new global brand standards, photographing every eligible InterContinental hotel across southern China, including Hong Kong and Tibet. In 2021, Nova produced Hilton’s national What’s for Breakfast? campaign, an integrated still and video production spanning six Hilton brands. Each had its own personality, while the campaign came together as one cohesive body of work.

For founder Vanessa Heisterkamp, it all started with a camera in a seventh-grade math class. What began as a love of photography eventually grew into a career producing commercial work around the world. Over the years, her curiosity expanded from making the image to everything that happens around it: building the team, finding the location, solving the problems, managing the details, and figuring out how to turn an idea into something real.

That perspective still shapes how Vanessa approaches production today. She cares just as much about the work as she does about how it gets made, and has a particular talent for keeping complicated productions moving without making them feel complicated.
